Forget about the workout 3 times a week. That is not enough to really raise your metabolism and burn body fat. You need to workout at least 5 times a week. American Council on Exercise, which is the leading organization for fitness professionals recommends 5 times a week for optimum results.

Secret 2

You must do your cardio in the morning before breakfast. Studies have shown over and over again that the body burns much more body fat if cardio is done on an empty stomach. Do a short 30-minute run; you do not have to run for 45 minutes.

For weight training, go intense. I mean really intense. Include advance techniques like drop sets, super sets and shorten your rest periods between sets. You will then experience excessive post oxygen consumption, which will dramatically increase your metabolism.

No snacking, junk food and simple carbohydrates. You have to diet. It is a waste. I repeat, it is a waste to see all those exercise efforts go to waste just because you cannot control your appetite. Go natural and healthy. Cook at home and eat complex carbohydrates. Do not drink fizzy soft drinks. Drink water, coffee or tea instead. Avoid fatty foods and foods that contain lot of salt.
