Overweight health problems

It is not only the fact you will look better if you diet to lose fat, there are plenty of other health factors to consider when you are overweight.

A big problem with those who are too heavy is that of developing diabetes as an adult. A huge proportion of the population suffer with diabetes and the related health issues that this disease can bring with it.

Did you know diabetes means thousands of people losing their sight every year. Another major problem linked to diabetes is kidney disease.

And then add the fact that you are four times more likely to develop heart disease or have a stroke when you get diabetes and it doesn't look good.

In men being fat can also cause erectile dysfunction.

Being overweight can lead to higher cholesterol and higher blood pressure.

Dropping just a little weight is a good thing and can really help your health. This also helps to lower the risk of you developing other diseases later in life.

When you are overweight you are also more likely to snore at night because the fatty tissue at the rear of your throat can obstruct your breathing passage when you lie down. Due to this you won't be getting good quality rest and your energy reserves will be reduced accordingly.

Just a small loss of fat significantly reduces snoring leading to better sleep and thus increased energy.

A danger with being tired is that you eat more than needed in an attempt to replenish their energy. A double whammy, so take note of all the benefits dropping some excess fat can bring you.

Exercise to lose fat is not simply about appearances. Being more healthy should be your main goal in life. Good looks and good health are not mutually exclusive. Clothing, make-up or even surgery can help you achieve this. But think about this - Does being unattractive kill you in the future?
